Brian Boru 1014 ParadeThis event takes place Main Street, Swords and marks the 1000th anniversary of Brian Boro.

This event celebrates the life of Brian Ború (c. 941-1014), High King of Ireland (1002-1014), who was born, raised and ruled in the area that is now known as Killaloe, County Clare.

On Friday 25 April Fingal County Council will host a fire torch and parade to mark this event. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, safety conscious volunteers to be Ambassadors and Fire Marshals for this event.

On site orientation and fire training will be provided which all volunteers must attend. Support and recognition will be provided. Roles open to those aged 16 and over.

Roles for this event include:
Parade Set up
Fire Marshalling
Providing information to the general public
Ensuring the safety of the general public at the event
Directions and information giving

Transport
The 33 and 41 buses serve Swords Village. Buses will most likely terminate away from the Main Street, so check dublinbus.ie for your local route.
